Aboriginal Health Careers Bursary PDF Print E-mail

Available to Aboriginal people residing in and attending an academic institution in B.C. to enter health care professions.  The program offers a limited number of bursaries (with a maximum of $2,500.00 each) for students undertaking studies leading to accreditation in a health related career.  Level of assistance provided will be based on need.

Aboriginal Health Careers Graduate Bursary Program

Same criteria as above, for those enrolled in health care programs in a recognized B.C. university.  Limited number of bursaries offered.  Amount of the bursary is determined based on need (maximum $3,000 each).

Aboriginal Health Careers Fellowship Program

Awards made in this classification are intended to assist First Nations, Metis and Inuit graduate students who undertaking specific academic projects related to Aboriginal health and wellness issues.  Stipends are provided.

Endowment Fund Awards

Description

All Nations Trust Company has developed annual, educational achievement awards to reward and recognize Aboriginal secondary and post-secondary students who are committed to attaining personal and educational success. These awards are open to individuals who are currently living within or are originally from one of the following Tribal Regions: Kootenay, Lillooet, Okanagan, Shuswap, and Thompson.

Post-Secondary School Awards: All Nations Trust Company will be presenting a total of ten awards in the amount of $500.00 each on an annual basis, to two Post-secondary students in each of the above five regions. These awards are designed to reward academic achievements and assist Aboriginal students in their pursuit of post-secondary education.
